Michele Parrish is our fantastic barn manager. . . .

I am a professional dedicated to helping riders and their horses realize their goals and dreams through solid foundation work progressing up the levels. I have 26 years of experience riding horses and have been competing for 16 years and professionally teaching and training for 12. I teach and train at all levels from beginner through competition levels in dressage, hunter/jumpers, eventing, and combined training. My teaching style emphasizes safety, solid fundamentals (including ground work, gymnastics, confidence building, etc), and quality training and dedication to horse and rider in preparation for goals of competition or just pleasure riding! I have also successfully started several young horses from having never been ridden up through the levels of competition using natural horsemanship methods and developing a relationship with each horse and rider (references available upon request). I am also very adept at offering tune-ups to horses and their riders with specific problem areas when under saddle or on the ground. The students at Blackberry Stables will be frequenting the competition arena in hunters, jumpers, dressage and eventing. I am also dedicated to providing quality care for the horses and boarders of Blackberry Stables, catering to the individualized needs of each horse and their owners.

Hello! We are the ones who keep the pasture, barn, and arena maintained. We also do advertising and book-keeping. Heather is the one who usually answers the phone and responds to email. Contact us for your horse boarding needs!

Rates at Blackberry Stables

-- Full Board: $425 per month.

Includes full use of the facility, free trailer parking, barn management and horse care by Michele Parrish, who covers stall cleaning, feeding, morning and evening turn in/out, handling of blankets at turn in/out, administration of wormer every 8 weeks, and the scheduling of : vet care, worming, shots, and farrier.

--Pasture Board:

--Riding Lessons:

Half-hour private lesson : $30
One-hour private lesson - $45
One-hour group lesson - $35 per person

From I-26, take exit 44, the Fletcher/Mtn. Home exit. Turn south on business 25 toward Hendersonville. Go 0.2 of a mile. Turn left onto Naples Road. Go 1.3 miles (you will pass Park Ridge Hospital). Turn right onto Howard Gap Road. Go 1.2 miles. At the four-way flashing light, turn left onto Brookside Camp Road. Go 0.5 of a mile. Turn right at address #1216 and you'll be there!
